Remodeling gives homeowners and business owners a natural opportunity to look at the electrical system as a whole.


A kitchen renovation may require new circuits for appliances. A finished basement may add lighting, outlets, entertainment equipment, and heating needs. A commercial renovation may involve entirely new equipment layouts.


If the electrical panel is already near capacity, adding more demand can create problems later.


Evaluating the panel before construction begins helps make sure the electrical system can support the finished project.


It can also save a lot of frustration.


Nobody wants to finish a beautiful renovation only to discover that electrical upgrades now require opening walls or reworking recently completed areas.
